You’ve decided on a trip to Cancun, lucky you! Of course, you’ll want to soak up the sand, sea and sunshine, but there are lots of things to do in Cancun!
Here’s our list of the best activities and places to see in Cancun
1. Swim in underground rivers and cenotes

Underwater rivers and cenotes (underwater natural pools) are some of Cancun’s biggest attractions. You can take the high road by going to an aquatic park such as Xcaret, Xel-Há or Xplor, or you can simply head to Río Secreto, an attraction that just comes down to swimming in a river that was born underneath the earth’s surface. If you prefer something less touristic but equally grand, you can head to one of the hundreds of cenotes (natural swimming pools) that rest all over the suburban areas of Cancún and the Yucatán Peninsula.

It has over 500 underwater sculptures that provide new sources of coral growth that contributes to the aquatic ecosystem. 4. Experience an authentic Mayan ball game

Ever wondered what a Mayan ball game looked like or what was the purpose of it? During the Mayan era, the local tribes used to implement the ritual of the Pok ta Pok, known in English as “ball game”, in order to promote the movement of the stars and to achieve the victory of the sun over the moon. You can see a live recreation of this ancient ritual at the parks of Xcaret and Xel-Ha.
